VOLUNTEER
|
| |
Volunteers are a welcome contribution at Crabtree Farms. Many volunteering opportunities exist for a variety of skill and physical levels. There are endless ways for folks with a few hours to donate to help cultivate the Farm. All volunteers learn gardening tips and enable the Farm to carry its mission into the community, not to mention having fun outdoors.

Volunteer Groups:
Crabtree has worked with many youth and adult groups including groups from: school, college, religious organizations, sorority, fraternity, civic, etc. Groups range in size from 5 to 20, so no group is too small. Crabtree recommends volunteer group activities for those ages 12 and older. If your group is younger, we recommend a tour coupled with a fun educational activity.
Volunteer Individuals:
Crabtree welcomes individuals to volunteer with us on a regular basis. Crabtree has benefitted from endless volunteers who have given so generously of their time and attention. Volunteers assist in the greenhouse, field or special events. Crabtree also has volunteer days where the general public is invited to lend a hand. During the growing season (May-October) Crabtree Farms regularly works with volunteers on Saturday mornings. From inoculating logs with shiitake spawn to harvesting garlic, Crabtree hosts a number of events throughout the growing season. For the next public volunteer day, please visit the Events section.
